KOF arrives on Atomiswave. NEOWAVE has three play modes (Super Cancel, Guard Break and MAX2) and a fifth button, Heat, for stronger attacks. AW-NET member services are promised, without prices. There are more than twenty AW card designs, some rare. The spring campaign runs to 30 June; its first round, to 31 May, offers points toward EX characters and a members' draw for 100 Roger plush toys.

NEOWAVE will show player names and have national rankings. The player-name screenshot is labelled as made up by the magazine's own staff.

AW-NET lets Kintaro players face people at other arcades as well as in the same arcade. Isuka cards work too. The card saves results, rank and job title, puts you in the national rankings and earns points. While the game looks for opponents you can send preset phrases such as "Hello", "Nice to meet you" and "Shall we play again?". The example player is a part-timer ranked 20-kyu.
