| A resort hotel and golf course were to be built in a peaceful Papua New Guinea village. Villagers protested, but WAREZ’s tourism division evaded the law and continued building. Land sharks brought from Japan walked through the once-peaceful village as the eviction deadline neared. Desperate, the villagers turned to a legend: Mudman, the spirit warrior who protected them centuries ago. They offered gifts to his sacred likeness and prayed together. “Lord Mudman, please!” “Help us, Mudman!” Their heartfelt cries crossed distant time and moved the warrior. “Earth god Faafa, guide me into the future!” |
